Hi, I’m Rocco! I ended up in a shelter down in Atlanta, GA as an owner surrender and sadly my time there was up but luckily for me CRCPA came to my rescue!
I’m a handsome, enthusiastic young (about 2) boy still learning my manners. I do know the “sit” and “down” cues already and I can’t wait to keep learning! I love giving kisses and being close to my humans. Playing with tug toys is a close second though! I am still learning how to play fetch. The volunteers here all get a good laugh at my squeaky bark, it’s all part of the Rocco charm!
Because I really don’t know my size or my strength I would do best in a home with older children. I would need an active family, willing to continue working with me to become the best Rocco I can be! While I’m waiting for my forever family to find me, I’m going to work on staying calm during car rides and while out on walks. Car rides make me so excited!
When I was in GA I was tested with an older dog and the volunteers there told CRCPA that I did well with her. I’m not sure how I would do with cats.
If you are interested in welcoming this enthusiastic fella into your home, please visit our website, www.crcpa.org, and complete an application! Local families only please.

Our adoption process encompasses several steps in an attempt to ensure the best possible placement of an animal with the most appropriate home. In addition to an application and time spent with the dog of interest, a home visit with the candidate is also a step in the adoption. We do charge an adoption fee as well as require the execution of an adoption agreement.
