ATTENTION - We Do Not Adopt Out of State - NO EXCEPTIONS

Disclaimer: All rescue dogs may have a percentage of pit bull or Staffordshire breeds in them.

I need a single family home with a fenced in yard!

Have you seen a bigger smile?  Beezus was born around 9/7/2019 and she is a female Blue Lacy/Pittie mix and weighs about 45-50 lbs. Beezus and her friend Bee Bee were both found in a cage in an empty apartment. They were abandoned by their previous owners and had really long unkempt nails and were emaciated and starving.  Not sure why anyone would do this to such a loving and happy pup! Despite this hard start at life, Beezus is sweet as can be and very adventurous and loves to be active. Hiking anyone? She's the "off-the-beaten-path" one. She's potty trained and loves other dogs and people. She would make a great, loving companion! Adopt Beezus today!

More about this rescue

Douglas County Canine Rescue, or DCCR as we like to call our organization is about one thing, helping dogs in need! Douglas County Canine Rescue, is a 501 c3 non- profit, no kill, animal rescue. Our mission is to rescue abandoned animals, spay, neuter and provide medical care, and then put them with foster homes until we get them adopted into the loving homes that they need and deserve! Douglas County Canine Rescue does not have a facility. We rely solely on the kindness and generosity of animal lovers who open their hearts to help us take care of the animal orphans that desperately need help.
