My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Pumpkin was born at our shelter on June 24, 2020, and was adopted when she was 10 weeks old. She was returned after a year as she was too much energy for the young kids in the family. Pumpkin is a very active and fun loving girl. Her mother was a pit bull type dog but we don't know about the dad. Pumpkin is a gorgeous gal who has been fully vetted. Her fee of $125 is sponsored by one of our volunteers and her family.

Pumpkin needs basic training and a lot of good, consistent exercise. She is definitely not a dog for a couch potato lifestyle. She would do best as the only pet in the home. We think she would be fine with older kids. Pumpkin is happy and ready for adventure!

Pumpkin really needs someone to take a chance on her. The shelter is not good for her and she's losing weight and is very stressed. We won't give up on her!

NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications can be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org.

We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.

We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventative, and spayed or neutered.
