My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Baxter is a sweet, happy little boy with a big personality. At 35 lbs, we think he is full grown. He's great with kids, great with other dogs, and he's a happy, friendly little cuddlebug.

He came to Florida from the Bahamasith an orthopedic injury. We learned that he had irreparable damage to his leg, and he underwent amputation surgery. Baxter has now recovered from surgery and he isn't skipping a beat. He was walking on 3 legs anyway, and now that he's officially a tripod, he's walking, running and playing as well as any other dog.

Bahamas dogs are called "potcakes;" we think Baxter is a Boxer/Boston Terrier mix. He is very dog and kid friendly, and he'd love to have a family of his own.
