My story

Fern is a 2 year old, super cute Lab/Pit mix. She was found as a stray in terrible condition, covered in fleas, mange. & severely underweight. She has been slowly recovering from a torn toenail & has since put on weight & grown all of her hair back. She is super soft & a very gentle dog, that loves lounging around on soft beds & sofas (if you let her) Fern loves children & being in the company of calm male dogs. Cats are not her favorite friends, however she doesn't know a stranger & is an excellent sidekick whether you're doing yard work or catching up on your favorite shows. As young as she is, she is very low key & does well in the house & crate as well, if needed. Fern is currently undergoing slowkill heartworm treatment, covered by the rescue & is available for a foster to adopt home!

Be careful when you meet her, she just might steal your heart! If you're looing for the ultimate best friend to share life with, you may have just found your girl :)

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

An approved application is the beginning of our "matchmaker" process, where we match applicants with the pets that best fit their lifestyle!

2.

Approve Application

Once an application is approved, we will interview the applicant & help them decide which of the pets they would like to schedule to meet!

3.

Interview

Over the phone or in person

4.

Meet the Pet

Ensure the pet is a fit for all all family members, both 2 & 4 legged.

5.

Home Check

Ensure the safety of the pet by checking fencing & living space of where the pet will be, as well as where he/she will be, when left alone.

6.

Pay Fee

Paid fee helps secure the animal for the adopter. (2 week trial adoption is required) Trial agreement is signed & adoption fee is refundable

7.

Take the Pet Home

A two week trial allows the pet to decompress & the adopter to not feel stuck if it is not the right fit, & the animal can come back to us

Additional adoption info

(Last Step) Signed Adoption Contract: Following a successful trial adoption, we require a finalized adoption contract to solidify all adoptions.
