My story

Hello, my name is Essie and I am a GORGEOUS redhead with the sweetest and smartest and gentlest spirited personality around. I am one lucky girl because I found a great foster home that I get to share with my brother and the resident canine who is showing me the ropes of being a good girl! We have had some great adventures finding sticks to chew, balls to chase, and sunbeam warmed grass to laze in. My foster family thinks I am an all-around amazing pup who would great in a home with kids or other dogs or both! I am doing great with potty training and crate training, too! And like all puppies, I am looking for love and patience, and time to work with me on training so I can be your bestest new friend! If you would like to meet me, please fill out a preadoption application and a CDR volunteer will get back to you just as quick as they can!
Sweet kisses and gentle cuddles-Essie

Why adoption is a great option

Essie, a Schaumburg Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Schaumburg, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Schaumburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Schaumburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Schaumburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Schaumburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
