My story

Hello, everyone! I'm Figaro, a gorgeous playful house panther with a princely face and salt and pepper whiskers! I was born in 2010 and adopted from MaxFund as a kitten. I was relinquished to another shelter in June 2021 but, thankfully, came back to MaxFund once my chip was scanned. So, not much is known about my life before and I'm a man of mystery!

My favorite hobbies are playing, intently watching bird videos while swatting those pesky birds with my paw, and sunning myself on top of the cat tower while I oversee the happenings in my room. I'm a true lap cat and the perfect hang-out buddy while you're reading or relaxing! While I really enjoy human company, I'm not a fan of other cats and would like to be the only king in my castle for my life's next chapter. When I came to MaxFund, it was discovered that I am diabetic which means that I need a special diet and a regular insulin schedule. Because of this, I'm eligible for adoption and foster.

I'm looking forward to a happy ending... if you welcome me into your home and make me a part of your life, I'll offer you a lifetime of that special loyalty that only a senior rescue cat knows how to give! I hope you'll come see me soon!

More about this shelter

The MaxFund is a non-profit organization that was established in May of 1988 to provide medical care for injured pets with no known owners, and to seek out new homes for these animals once they have recovered. The MaxFund is a no-kill dog and cat shelter. MaxFund assists hundreds of people and animals each year by trying to make the correct match between owner and pet. MaxFund adopts our animals to Colorado residents only.

The MaxFund is a TRUE no-kill shelter. There is no pre-sorting of animals into "adoptable" and "non-adoptable" categories, discarding the so-called "unadoptable." The MaxFund takes every animal it has the space for. EVERY animal is kept until its owner is found or it is placed in a new adoptive home.
