My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Available for adoption but won't be able to go home until after his neuter which is scheduled for November 10th.

This pretty boy is Dugan and he is a 1 1/2-2 year old Hound mix who weighs just over 40 pounds. He came to us as a stray that was never claimed.

Dugan is your typical goofy hound complete with a great love of food, follows his nose wherever it will take him, and enjoys singing the song of his people when he is hungry or wants to go outside. He loves treats and we are working on being patient and taking treats gently. We are also working with Dugan on not jumping up when her gets excited and other basic commands as it's clear his previous owner did very little with him.

Dugan does really well about not having accidents in his kennel so we are confident that he would housetrain with a consistent schedule and patience. Due to his need to follow his nose when he is outside, Dugan will need a physically fenced in yard at his new home. We have not had the chance to test Dugan with other dogs but can do so if a prospective family needs us to. He is not good with cats and will need a dog only home.
Dugan is not a good fit for a home with children under 10 due to his size and tendency to jump up.

Dugan's adoption fee is $75.00. His adoption fee includes all of his Vet work.
