My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tink, a spry 11-year old cocker/poodle/Shih Tzu, mixed with a few other things! He came to us after his owner was ill for a long time and unable to take care of him anymore. Fortunately, UAAF was able to help, and we gave him a full dental to remove all his rotting teeth, leaving just one bold underbite canine in the front for extra character. He gained a few pounds on a poor diet, as well, but has already shed a lot of weight and is feeling happy and healthy again! He will trot around after you around the house, and take on jumps from chair to couch that might not be totally advised, but he loves to show you how young he is at heart!

TInk is a great little guy with personality for days. He will be your shadow and be interested in all that you do. He absolutely loves neighborhood walks and to go on easy trail walks like Tanner Park or Memory Grove. In fact, he keeps track of whether he's been out of the house each day and will quite vocally let you know that he is ready for his daily adventure!

Tink is housetrained and hasn't had any accidents in the house. He is crate trained for when you are away and can sleep in his crate overnight with some complaining. However, he would much prefer to sleep in bed with you and as soon as your alarm goes off he will hurry up for a morning snuggle. He is a funny guy who will surely make you smile!

Tink is not used to being alone and will do best in a home where someone is home most of the time. He ignores dogs of all sizes and would be fine as an only dog or as part of a pack. He has not been tested with cats. He can easily eat regular kibble and is on a diet of high-quality, low-calorie food mixed with green beans to keep him feeling full. He will go home with a large bag of food to continue his weight loss. He is otherwise healthy and has had his blood work done.

Tink is neutered, current on vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm and has been microchipped.

You can visit at the Canyon Rim Petsmart in Salt Lake City, (389 W. 1830 S.) the third Saturday of every month from 11-3 pm.
