My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Goldie!

She is brand new to us from one of our rescue partners in Texas. She was an owner surrender to them and lived in a house with another dog (that's the picture included of her in her previous home)

She LOVES to be held. She leans into you giving you a hug back. Human attention and affection is what she desires.

She gets along fine with other dogs.

Basics: She is guessed to be around 2 yrs old and approx 15lbs. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, rabies and has been dewormed

If you'd like to adopt please reach out!

Adoption Process:

- please fill out our adoption application: https://www.dayofthedogs.org/adoption-application

- one of our team members will get back to you.

- our dogs can be seen by appointment only after an approved application has been received. We do not have a facility. Dogs are in foster homes or boarding

- Adoption fee helps to cover spay/neuter, initial vaccines, rabies, fecal, initial worming, and microchip.

-We cannot place holds on our dogs. Please do not contact us until you are prepared to adopt.

NOTE: We are very good about updating the pet's profiles once adopted. So no need to write us to ask "Is he/she still available?" If the post is up, the dog is still available.

About Us:
Day of the Dogs is a 501c3 nonprofit that is dedicated to helping shelters increase live release. We coordinate 2 - 4 transports per month from TX, OK and AR to NW Indiana/Chicagoland area. We do direct adoptions ourselves out of Dyer, IN area and partner with 12 other rescues and shelters in both IL and IN that are willing to help southern pets in need.
We rely on donations to help fund our ongoing transports. Please donate if you can. Every dollar adds up and we are grateful for any help we can get: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/DayoftheDogs
