Meet Captain!
He just arrived to us from one of our rescue partners in West Texas.
He is a bit timid of new things. But once he feels comfortable he shows his playful side. All that have met him so far think he is still a pup or a young dog. He still plays and moves like a puppy.

Basics: He is guessed to be around a year old (or less). He is neutered, 55lbs, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccines, rabies and has had de-wormer
Adoption Process:

- one of our team members will get back to you.
- our dogs can be seen by appointment only after an approved application has been received. We do not have a facility. Dogs are in foster homes or boarding
- Adoption fee helps to cover spay/neuter, initial vaccines, rabies, fecal, initial worming, and microchip.
-We cannot place holds on our dogs. Please do not contact us until you are prepared to adopt.
NOTE: We are very good about updating the pet's profiles once adopted. So no need to write us to ask "Is he/she still available?" If the post is up, the dog is still available.
About Us:
Day of the Dogs is a 501c3 nonprofit that is dedicated to helping shelters increase live release. We coordinate 2 - 4 transports per month from TX, OK and AR to NW Indiana/Chicagoland area. We do direct adoptions ourselves out of Dyer, IN area and partner with 12 other rescues and shelters in both IL and IN that are willing to help southern pets in need.
