My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

NAME: Natasha
BREED: DSH
BIRTHDAY: Spring 2021
ADOPTION FEE: $75

Did you know that only about 20% of red tabbies are females? Natasha is a rare and beautiful girl who seems like she's growing up to be a pretty big cat! One of seven feral kittens trapped from two locations in Hanover, Natasha is one of the friendlier of the Marvel group (Natasha and Tony Stark are in foster care with us, Thor is available for adoption through Sam's Beasties Rescue, and Wanda has found her forever home.) She still needs some work with socialization, but there's not a mean bone in her soft, squishy body. Natasha would benefit from some one-on-one attention, but she'd also make a great companion cat for someone just looking for a friend for their current cats(s). Of course, she'd love to go home with one of her kitten friends from our rescue. We know it will be tough to find homes for Natasha and her feral friends, but we were not going to leave those babies outside under any circumstances. We truly hope we can find them forever homes so we can save more cats, but if not they will live safely and happily here until old age takes them from us. Please consider being a hero for a kitten like Natasha!

**Please note that although Natasha is happy in her foster room and is not an aggressive cat, she does not allow handling or petting and may always be a "friendly feral". A traditional meet-and-greet is not an option as she hides from new people.

More about this rescue

Good Old Tails Senior Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of senior dogs and cats in the Southern Pennsylvania/Northern Maryland areas.
We believe that senior animals deserve loving, caring homes where they will be taken care of the rest of their days.

Good Old Tails Senior Animal Rescue was founded in 2015 by a small group of animal lovers. Years of rescue showed us that the senior demographic in shelters is often the most overlooked and highly euthanized. These animals are discarded because of failing health, new pets in the family, a lack of time for attention and care, and countless other reasons which Good Old Tails finds deplorable. Pets are a commitment for life, not until they are an inconvenience. We are dedicated to saving as many senior dogs and cats as we can, and providing them with love and care so that they can live out the rest of their days with dignity and happiness. Some of these animals may never leave our rescue, and their foster families will be the ones to say the last good-bye. Others will go on to find families of their own. Whatever the outcome, we have made the promise to them that they will never again be alone.
