Tater was abandoned at a PetSmart in the east valley, left alone waiting for the staff of PetSmart to come to work.
Tater is a 7 to 9 month old smart and handsome red head with a stand up and a flopped over ear! Tater has fine, short hair, natural ears and a sleek face with beautiful eyes. He will need an active home with patient humans and another energetic dog (or 2 or 3) and an on the go family that will include him in their hikes, camping, swimming, running and other activities. Tater is very curious and has no sense of fear – willing to check out anything that interests him or moves – and some things that don’t move!
Do you need a little energy in your life? Tater is your best friend. Affectionate and “out-going” he learns quickly and unlike many small dogs he loves to play with everyone. He has boundless energy and would be great at agility! A little training and he’d be a top notch competitor. I would highly recommend an active family or couple that can help keep Tater involved and busy.
Tater is tall and handsome - about 13 inches tall and 11 pounds with natural ears and a docked tail. A lean and lanky guy, Tater is crate trained, enjoys belly rubs, is not very vocal and loves being with his humans and being loved. Tater and his new family will need to focus on Tater learning basic manners to ensure he becomes the well-behaved little guy we know he can be so he doesn’t drive his new family crazy with all that boundless energy.
Tater will be neutered, up to date on shots, micro chipped, heartworm tested and on monthly heartworm preventative. Tater sometimes knows basic commands, he rides well, is kennel trained, gets along well with most other dogs and humans and loves adventures. Tater says “Hello” and hopes to meet you soon.
