My story

Hubba Hubba Big Time Luva! Wow! Carlton is one of the most affectionate dogs we've encountered at the shelter - who knew!! He's a big powerful boy which makes him a bit intimidating if you don't know him. But folks, I'm telling you, he's a hunk of love and all he wants to do is be next to you.

He doesn't have dog friends at the shelter because he's so ramped up there (shelter life is stressful no matter how wonderful the facility and staff are). He was pretty wound up the first couple days we had him, but he soon relaxed and was nothing short of wonderful.

He was GREAT with all the new humans he met. He's definitely a human person dog.

Carlton's favorite thing in the entire world is a stuffed toy. While hanging out in our laundry room, staff and volunteers often catch Carlton picking out several toys from the stuffed toy bin. After some time, he'll accumulate so many on his bed that he doesn't know what to do with them! It's one of the cutest things we've ever seen. Carlton's happy place would probably be filled with fields of stuffed toys that he can run around in!

If you or someone you know has a soft spot for the bigger dogs, share Carlton! What a hunk of Hubba Hubba Big time Luva!!
