Macaroni and Spaghetti are bond brothers from the same litter. When we adopted them, they came from a hoarder. Macaroni has only half a tail. We were told it was infected and had to be partially amputated.
We have a dog and it is extremely clear they do not like or tolerate dogs well. I suspect the infection in macaroni's tail may have come from a dog bite. They hide from the dog constantly and will hiss, but they never attack her. Spaghetti is less bothered by the dog, but he still avoids her.
They can be extremely friendly... When no one is around. This usually means they are only out at 3 am after the house has gone to sleep.
They are good cats, but I don't think we are the right household for them. They thrive in quiet free of noise, kids (we are expecting our second child), and especially without dogs. They don't seem to mind other cats.
They have come a long way from being mostly feral, but I think since they can't relax in my home it is better to find them something better.
