Here's what the humans have to say about me:
QUALITIES: affectionate, good natured, smart, good with other dogs, good with people, walks well
LIMITATIONS: still has some puppy energy, loves textiles-pillows, throws, anything with stuffing
Bernie was picked up weeks ago starving and surrendered by his owner to our rescue. In that time he has made quite a transformation. With a great foster and on a good diet Bernie has filled out to a healthy weight. He is a one year old shepherd/hound mix, still a puppy. He is exuberant about life but will take corrections to settle down. A good walk helps reign in that energy. About 60 lbs now, HW- and fully vetted Bernie is ready to find his forever home. He just completed a 10 day obedience training program with Jorge Porras at Dogma Obedience Training where he learned proper house, human and walking manners. His walking skills are already 90% better and he now understands he should not jump up and grab the food bowl. He will get fed! Bernie is such a great dog, smart and just super sweet and loving. He is good with other dogs as well and probably would not bother cats, but we are not sure.
