Experience the journey of Big Ben! A friendly dogs quest for a forever home! This is Big Ben a handsome chocolate lab mix that is guessed to be around 5 years old. Big Ben was first found as a stray by a volunteer who was able to make contact with previous owners of Ben - he has been passed around quite a few times and has never had the most stable of homes, from living outside able to roam the dangerous streets, to being left displaced at a friends home he's really had a hard time finding a permanent home to call his own. Ben is heartworm positive and is receiving treatments at the shelter currently. Big Ben's journey continues here at the animal shelter where he has done well with humans and other dogs in playgroups! Volunteers stated he is a moderate walk on leash as sometime he tends to pull and want to jump around. Previous owners stated he did well with female dogs but would need proper introductions with male dogs and should be monitored during feeding times. Partially housebroken when kept on a schedule (every dog at the shelter we recommend refresher courses in potty training due to being in kennels most of the day). Ben has not been around cats but could be cat tested at the shelter upon request. This love bug has been around children as young as 9 months and didn't have any issues. Please consider adopting this great fella! He's going to make someone happy! Big Ben is neutered, microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccines.
