My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Trouper!  Also known as Troup, this goofy boy is ready to bring some joy into a new home.

Born around January 2021, Trouper is sweet and playful.  He is always ready to play, and is always ready for some “good loving” from his hooman friends.

He gets along great with the other dogs in his foster home.  He needs to live with another young dog in his forever home.  If you’d like to also take home his BFF, adopt Lola from us, too!

Trouper had a rough start.  When we pulled him from a local shelter, he was just skin and bones, and had suffered a substantial trauma.  He was most likely hit by a car, and suffered nerve damage in one of his shoulders.  We gave him a couple of months to heal, but unfortunately, his leg had to be amputated.  This has not slowed him down one bit!

Trouper learns quickly, and knows “sit” and “leave it.”  He also knows to “ring the bell” on the door when he wants to go out.

Like most Pyrs, he has bursts of energy throughout the day, and then lays around saving up for the next round!

Troup weighs about 65 pounds, and that is ideal for him.  Since he now has only three legs, he needs to stay fit and trim.

Troup loves adventures, and is always ready for a car ride. He walks well on the leash, and is always ready to go!

He loves to be with his people.  During the work day he spends his time overseeing his foster dad’s work by his desk.  He likes to check out new people, especially if they have treats for him!

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
