My story

Meet Freckles, the perfect adventure buddy. Freckles is an approximately 3 years old Pointer mix who came to us from Susanville because his breed was not allowed in the rental. Freckles is one of our longer stay dogs and it breaks our heart to see such a people pleasing and treat motivated dog still here. Freckles loves any and every toy put in front of him and will work tirelessly to beat any puzzle toy you can find. He loves to tug, fetch, run, and play in general. Because of the length of his stay, he has developed some bad habits like jumping up, but with some work in the house and lots of treats for motivation, we think Freckles can learn anything you want to teach him. He also has a fantastic nose, so hiding treats around the house or the yard would be a great evening activity to help him get his energy out. He should be the only dog in the house as he can be territorial over his belongings with other dogs and there should be no cats as well. He is eager to learn, loves treats, and just wants a new owner where he can play to his heart's desire. If you are interested in meeting Freckles, please fill out an application at www.highsierraanimalrescue.org.
