Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Charlie is a nearly perfect dog; I, unfortunately, am not the right adopter. When my wonderful dog died in April, I was bereft. Seeing an ad for Charlie, his owner leaving the country, I fell in love and adopted him too quickly, not really considering that a bright one year old might be too much for an elderly woman alone.
He's smart, affectionate, eager to please, impeccably house-trained. He quietly goes to his crate when I leave the house and waits nicely to be let out. He's hypoallergenic, doesn't shed. At the dog park, I see him play with children; he's even gentle with babies, loves to fetch, romp with other dogs, and happily comes when called. He would be the perfect dog for a family and/or a single person with experience, time, and energy to spare.
This is a difficult choice for me, but one that is, I think, in his and my best interest. And whoever is fortunate to enjoy his company will be making happy memories that will last a lifetime.
