My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dozer is probably the most smoochy basset in the world. His idea of a perfect day is being snuggled up with his human getting lots of hugs, kisses and belly rubs!
Dozer is a laid back basset hound. His idea of a good time is talking slow walks around the yard and checking out all the sniffs that nature has to offer him! He also loves to climb up on anything he can find because he just has to know what's on top of it!
While Dozer is a perfect basset personality wise, he does have a few health challenges.
First, Dozer is blind. He has bilateral cataracts. He may be able to see shadows, but will eventually lose that. Dozer will also eat anything that doesn't eat him first! Recently he ate a rock, which resulted in a blockage and required surgery. He came through with flying colors, but now wears a basket muzzle when outside unsupervised. And, lastly, he has occasional seizures. He is now on meds to control them.
But Dozer doesn't let any of these things stop him from living life to the fullest. He know that minor problems like this aren't worth dwelling on!!
Dozer gets along great with the other dogs in his foster home, but is eagerly awaiting a home to call his very own. If you're that special person, or family, that will give him that gift, please contact All Ears at chris@allearsbassetsanctuary.com for an application.
Dozer is in NM and his adoption fee is $200.
