My story

Our two Great Pyrenees are brother and sister roughly 9 years old. Both were spayed and neutered when they were less than a year old. Fabio is the larger of the two being near 200 pounds. Eclair his sister is around 160 pounds. Both are outdoor day and indoor night pets. Neither seem to have any medical issues. They are housebroken and have never shown any sign of destructiveness. Safety has never been an issue, they are very good around children and other pets. Ideally I think they’d be best off being adopted together. FOSTER OR ADOPT. Please submit the brief application on our page GreatPyrRescue.org.

Why adoption is a great option

Fabio & Eclair, a Devore Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees for sale in Devore, or seeking a Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Devore.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Devore already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Devore breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Devore paves the way for another one to be saved.
