Thor and Loki – ready for their forever home or homes!
These two brothers started their lives out born into a cold world to a mother that was just a kitten herself and blind from an untreated feline herpes virus infection. They were all born sick and weak and left in the cold, their own eyes eventually sealing shut preventing them from even finding their siblings or mother. Their mother’s milk dried up and she left them behind. There were 5 siblings, but by the time a kind person found them, there were only 2 left… two very sick brothers who no other rescue would accept. Melt My Heart stepped in and agreed to help them, and an amazing community member drove all the way to Eastern Washington to bring them to safety here at the rescue. From there a wonderful foster stepped up to take on their daily care. We set up emergency and regular vet care visits and they needed a LOT of medical help. They are now ready to start a new beginning filled with kitten cuddles and lots of fun.

These two can be adopted together or separately. Both are amazingly sweet and very cuddly! Indoor only homes or with catio set-ups would be the best for these kittens. Loki may need to be a one-eyed kitty and his adopter will need to take him to his assessment appointment that is already scheduled. We hope that whoever adopts him will love him even if his eye is to be removed and he becomes a one eyed kitty full of character! Thor’s eyes are both normal and Loki’s other eye is also normal so neither kitten will need any other special care.
Thor loves to sit in your lap and cuddle and is very curious, especially at looking at himself in different objects. Loki is a confident well adjusted sweet boy. Both of these cuties will fall asleep on your lap or chest and will stay there all night if you’d let them. Loki can’t get enough pets and is a purr bucket the moment you start petting him. They are sweet and gentle and have had a lot of practice with socialization. They even do well in the car! 🙂
