My story

Meet Che, an 8-year-young sweetheart who could really use a forever home. All this boy wants is to be loved, but can get overstimulated with too much attention and will let you know (gently with a swat or a grab of the arm). It’s actually quite polite!

Che once lived with a very nice single man and they got along pretty well. We think he would be best with cat savvy people in a low-traffic environment (kids and other pets may not be best for him).

He is very adorable and will lay on his back with his feet sprawled out in the sun. He’s a good eater and he uses his litter box perfectly.

Could you give this boy the love and confidence he needs to relax and enjoy his next 8 lives? =^..^=

For more info please contact Jake’s Place. Debbie can be reached at: 415-548-0824 or by email at adoptions@jakesplacecatrescue.org.

All Jake’s Place cats that are available for adoption are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLV and are microchipped.

The Adoption Fee for this boy is $80. This Fee helps pay for Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Vaccines, FIV/Leukemia testing, as well as all other Veterinary costs. Adopters must agree to return the kitty to Jake’s Place if the adoption fails at any time. All Fees will be returned if the adoption fails within 90 days.

Jake’s Place is a 100% volunteer organization. All Fees and Donations go directly to the care of our kitties.

Why adoption is a great option

Che, a Novato Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Novato, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Novato.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Novato already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Novato breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Novato paves the way for another one to be saved.
