My story

IMPORTANT NOTE: Contact Vicky @ 619-733-1512 if you are interested in Trixie.

Trixie is not an Animal Alliance dog but is owned by another rescue called Friends of Humane Services in TJ (FHSTJ). Please don't contact us or fill out one of our applications! Call Vicky for questions and for an application since she volunteers for FHSTJ.

Trixie is...

• Very Sweet

• Affectionate

• Social

• Friendly with everybody including strangers

• Well adjusted

• Intelligent

• Quick learner

• Quiet

• Gets along with other dogs

• Loves to play with other dogs but can play rough, but it's only play. She'd be a great buddy and play mate for a dog her size. Dog trainers recommend having a spayed female with a male or neutered male dog rather than another female in the same household. This is because females can have alpha issues although Trixie does not appear to be alpha. Most San Diego pitbull dog rescues will not adopt a female bully into a home with another large female for that reason. Therefore, we're recommending she be in a home without another large female dog.

• Housetrained

• American Bully mix. She is NOT an American Staffie but AdoptAPet does not have the breed American Bully although the American Bully Kennel Club recognized this breed in 2004. Trixie may have some StaffyBull in her since she's smaller than an American Bully which weigh a minimum of 50 lbs (Trixie weighs only 45). Staffybullys weigh between 22-33 lbs. For more information look at the table provided in this website (copy & paste hyperlink into your browser): http://www.bullyprideofaz.com/bully-breed-list.html

• "Pitbull Ambassador" (but remember she's not a pitbull)

• Short and stout. Almost a "low rider." She gets that from the American Bully. (See videos)

• 45 lbs

• Spayed female

• 3-years-old

• Up-to-date on vaccinations

• Homeowner with a fenced yard required

• Adoption fee $220
