Lola is a 7.5 year old German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix. She is perfectly healthy, fully vaccinated, chipped, and spayed.
Lola was rescued from the streets of Merritt, BC when she was approximately 1 year old. When she was found, she had a recently broken leg and was totally emaciated. We were able to take her in and she quickly recovered and thrived in our home. She is quick to love anyone who will give her a pet or throw a ball with her. She is a medium energy dog, who loves being around her people, going for walks, and swimming. She has been leash trained, however, she still loves to lead and can pull a little.
Despite the love we have for Lola, our family has grown to include two small children and unfortunately, we no longer are able to give Lola the time and care she deserves. With both of us working full time outside of the house, Lola will end up spending far too much time by herself, and with her separation anxiety, we know that it would not be an ideal life for her.
Although Lola is a loving and affectionate dog, she does have, as mentioned before, some separation anxiety, as well as some food aggression that has been with her ever since we got her. On one isolated occasion, our daughter got too close to Lola's bowl while feeding and got nipped. Although our daughter is totally fine and Lola has not exhibited any aggression toward them before or since, it is probably recommended that Lola go to a home with older children or someone without any. Also, Lola does not care too much for other animals especially dogs, so a house where Lola will be the only pet is a must.
It is with a heavy heart that we decided to rehome Lola, but we want to do what is ultimately best for her. We want her to be loved as much as she wants to share her love with everyone.
Lola weighs approximately 75 pounds and is 25 inches tall.

As adopters of overseas dogs will be taking their dog home from the airport, they have a couple of weeks to decide if the dog is a fit.
