My story

...sooo happy you're here! She's been here too long just waiting... This little girl arrived with her 7 kittens almost 2 years ago. She is a beautiful tabby, very sweet but a young kitten herself when she became a mom. She was shy and cautious when she arrived but once you earn her trust, she comes for pets and treats. She loves to play with Beanie Babies of all things but only during the night. She smuggles them from the basket and they show up in some of the weirdest places -- her favorite is the spider. We nicknamed her 'BabaLou', since she is a minature version of Lou the resident cat. She'll come and plop down next to you when you're watching TV and crawling into bed. TOTALLY loves being in the window. She will never be the hold me, cuddle me cat but will so be the always next to you cat. She will come and boop you when the bowl is empty and will always be there when you're in the bathroom. Do you have some extra love to finally let this little girl claim you as her own?

Our adoption process involves completing a one-page adoption application. Applications are processed within 48 hours.

Adoption fees for cats/kittens are $130.00. All cats/kittens have been wormed, altered, tested for feline leukemia, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

Adoption fees for dogs/puppies are $300.00 All dogs/puppies have been wormed, altered, tested for heart worm, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

We also offer our Senior for Senior program matching senior animals to people over the age of 63. Adoption fees are waived for this program.

Camp Companion is a 501c3 organization established in 2003.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.

Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.

Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
