Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Annie is being fostered in PA.
Annie is now spayed. She continues to grow and blossom and loves running around and playing with her Husky and Australian Shepherd foster sisters. After working some of her puppy energy out by playing, she likes to snuggle with her foster mom on the couch.
Annie has shown some orthopedic medical issues. At this time she does not require any surgery. That is not to say that surgery is not in her future. That will be re-evaluated in May when she has mostly finished growing. There is a possibility that she will need to have surgery on both hips at that time, she has hip dysplasia on both sides. She also has luxating patellas in both rear legs that may pop back in once her hips are taken care of. None of her medical issues slow her down. She is able to run and play like any other 7 month old puppy. The only accommodation that she requires are steps to get onto a couch or a bed.
Annie does, however, need to be on supplements for the rest of her life. She is on Dasuquin Advanced which needs to be purchased through a vet and Welactin 3 which is available to purchase through several retailers. She will also improve as she continues to run and play as well as getting regular exercise through walks.
Annie loves to play with toys, chew bones and eat treats but her favorite is playing tug with a toy. Annie will make a wonderful family dog and should have a fenced in yard because of her fear of traffic.
BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
