Here's what the humans have to say about me:
In Atkinson
Meet Cowboy! This energetic, happy Border Collie/Aussie mix is 6-7 years old. But don’t let that fool you. He has plenty of get up and go and loves to walk and explore on a long leash. Cowboy is a friendly guy who doesn't meet a stranger. He is funny and can be quite entertaining at times. He loves to carry his 'hamburger' around and he will toss a plastic bowl up in the air just to watch it land! He loves chew toys and squeakers.
Cowboy would prefer being an only dog, as he really isn't fond of sharing with other four-legged friends, also no cats. Older children would be fine. He is housebroken and crate trained, however he is a chewer, so crating him while unattended would be recommended. (He actually likes his crate... and so long as his food and toys are there, he will amuse himself quietly for hours.) Interactive treat toys for his entertainment would be a huge plus. He loves spending time outdoors, so a fenced in yard is a must. He rides great in the car and loves to go. He actually looks forward to his trips to the vet, Home Depot, Tractor Supply and other pet friendly stores because of all the attention he gets. Loves people. He is neutered, up to date on all vetting and microchipped.
Cowboy's ideal home would be one where someone can spend lots of quality time with him and one where he has a yard to enjoy the great outdoors as well. Cowboy will make a great companion for an active person who wants a “best buddy” to take on adventures.
This little guy is one you really have to meet to truly appreciate how special he is!
