My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Angel is being fostered in NC.

Hi, I'm Angel, and I'm told my name suits me well. I came from a home where I was neglected and left locked in a house all alone for days at a time with no one to take me out or feed me. I had someone rescue me, but she couldn't keep me once I started going blind.

I'm blind, and my hearing has 90% faded. However, my foster mom says I'm the smartest dog she's ever had. On day two in my foster home, I had already mapped the whole house and knew where my food was, how to scratch at the door when I needed to go out, and where to find my foster humans. Dogs and kitties don't bother me at all. I'm a sweet old lady, and I just kinda do my own thing and rest. I'm independent and not much of a cuddler. However, I'm fine with neck and body scratches, and you'll get a little wagging from my nub tail when you give me affection.

Being on a bed or couch scares me, so I prefer to stay on the ground. It's great though because my humans don't have to worry about me getting on the furniture. I'll come to find you throughout the day to make sure that I get to sleep near wherever you are. I've been told I'm so smart because I use the hair on my head as a guide preventing some of the bumping into things. I even learned how to go to the yard and can make my way back almost completely on my own. I need little to no guidance from my humans.

During the day, I do pretty well with always going outside, and I try really hard to not have accidents. I'm definitely making my best effort, I'm just an old lady. I'll be starting hormones soon to help with bladder control.
BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
