DOB – March 2020 - Adopted Nov 2021
Mimosa is a pretty, sweet gal who is super content and very grateful to be inside. She was pregnant when she was rescued from homelessness this past spring, and she is lapping up the indoor lifestyle—literally because she is (slowly) becoming a lap cat!
Mimosa’s babies have been adopted and so Mimosa is ready to go. She has become affectionate, especially with women, and relishes lots of chin and belly rubs. She loves to be around people and will follow you around, always making herself available for petting. She takes advantage of every opportunity to snuggle up beside you, but, like many cats, she isn’t comfortable being picked up.
Now that Mimosa has access to toys, her playtime is a fun-filled event for her. She is obsessed with catnip toys and Da Bird feather toy. Mimosa is good with other non-dominant cats. She has never been around a dog, but her foster feels that she may be OK with a small, calm dog.
Mimosa is a friendly girl, but she is a typical cat, in the sense that she will tell you when enough petting is enough. Her future family must understand a cat's body language. For this reason, she would probably not be a good fit for young, inexperienced children. She will take some time to warm up to her new family, so patience is key.
