My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Remus is our silly funny quirky guy who has been with us WAY too long. He is our 'long stay' and we're not quite sure why--maybe we love him too much? Very possibly, but we're trying not to be selfish because he really needs to find his person and have a home of his own.

This kid will make you laugh every single day. He has a crazy teeth-baring smile when he sees someone he likes. He loves to catch raindrops in the dark and fly after frisbees in the day. He's content to sit at your feet and eat a bone, and loves to go on walks, golf cart rides and play in the yard.

Remus in the Rain!

He has a serious side too--he LOVES nosework and got all the ribbons in his first ever competition. Actually, he loves doing most anything, as long as it's with you. He will make up his own games and if you're paying attention, invite you to play.

You = yes, please! Other dogs = not so much. He's a one-man band and really prefers to be the only dog on your playlist. He's probably not the best fit for a first-time dog owner but he's not so quirky that you can't figure him out if you try.

He did have a special friend for a time and they had a lot of fun together. They spent most of their time outdoors, hiking, exploring, playing ball under big trees, and swimming in lakes! Sadly, life happened, and they had to say goodbye and he's been stuck with us again ever since (not that we care, we think he's delightful!)

This dear boy could use a hand up and in return, he will endlessly delight you with his funny self, quirky ways, silly smile and unconditional like.

Help us not to be so selfish and take him away from our clutches, even though we love him, please!
