My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sumo got his name when he was just a tiny guy, (well, he still is fairly tiny,) because he would somewhat waddle when he walked. He also likes to wrestle with his kitty sisters. Then there is his hair which we will take & put up into a small Japanese ponytail on the top of his head...

Sumo is a sweet, playful, adventurous, might I say gorgeous, young fella. He likes to play & scamper around but he is also willing to snuggle. He'll wander right on up to your lap for a siesta if he feels in the need of a nap. Born around October 23rd (2009), he & his sisters are small for their age. Their parents were both longhaired cats & might have the Maine Coon breed in their bloodlines if their tails (but not their sizes,) are anything to go by.

Sumo's adoption fee includes his vetting. He does not yet weigh enough for neutering but once of appropriate size & age, the fee includes neutering, microchipping & his rabies & FVRCP vaccinations. Sumo, whose name can be changed by his adopters, (especially because he is mostly called 'Kitty'), has only ever been indoors & must be an indoors only cat (it's safer.) He may not be declawed (it's amputation). This kitty is being fostered with scratching posts & toys & lots of enrichment. His nails are regularly clipped too so he's used to having his paws handled.

We do ask that interested adopters fill out an application so that we can make a good match. Kittens really need pet playmates so we ask that you consider adopting two kittens, or that you have a youngish cat (or cat friendly dog) who might be a pal for this lil' guy when you humans aren't home. Last, we do answer all adoption inquiries.
