Koda is being fostered in PA.
Koda is young and has a good bit of energy, so is not recommended for young children. He loves other dogs, but could play roughly with small dogs, and would be better suited for larger breed friends.
My name is Koda and that means friends in Eskimo. Everyone who meets me says that's the perfect name for me! I'm a 14-month-old, visually impaired, purebred Siberian Husky who's super friendly with humans, dogs and even cats! I do love to clean and play gently with my foster Mom's 8 kitties but I never chase them and leave them alone when they say they have had enough. Everyone who meets me says I'm a big love bug. I love to be petted and cuddled or just lay at your feet. I'm a big puppy so I love to nip and jump when I get excited so I may do best in a home without young kids. I'm crate trained but do excellent out of my crate. I'm still being potty trained but wear a belly band so I don't have accidents on the floor. I get so excited when it's time to go for walks and love to jump and play when I go outside. I'd love to have a secure fenced yard and big pup siblings who want to play with me. My new family has to remember I'm still a husky and even though I'm blind I will try to escape any chance I get. That's what us huskies do because running fast and far is super fun for my breed. We're made for an active family who provides plenty of play and exercise so it would be nice if my forever family understood my husky quirks and needs. I came from Alabama so I've never seen snow but I'm looking forward to it. Foster Mommy says that's when I'll appreciate all this fluffy fur and do the special husky snow dance that we do. I can't wait to learn it and am hoping my forever family lives somewhere with snow. I would love to be part of a forever family.
