My story

MOANA is the sweetest little pocket pittie and full grown at just 35 lbs and approx 6yrs old. She is a healthy, smart, sweet, loving, very friendly gentle soul. Mo is not a barker, she is house trained and will get your attention if she needs to go out. She loves all humans and thinks she is a lap dog. She minds her manners very well. She follows rules, is a good listener, great learner, and loves consistency. She loves napping, feeding time, cuddles and playing with kids. Moana is a beautiful black dog with marking of a white eagle on her chest.

Moana can be with other mellow and respectful dogs. She lived in a home with other dogs who bullied her and she was bitten. We have been with MO for months now and she is a real love. She can go on walks with other dogs, she can meet other dogs and have supervised and slow introductions but no dogs with high energy that will pester her or bully her. We will consider all adopters but if you have no other dogs at this time or a mellow older dog, that may be her best fit.

If you are interested in MO please ask us for an application at DeepSouthCanineRescue@gmail.com and we will get back to you. We stand by our dogs for the life of the dog!

Why adoption is a great option

Moana, a Elmwood Park Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Staffordshire Bull Terrier for sale in Elmwood Park, or seeking a Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Elmwood Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmwood Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmwood Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Staffordshire Bull Terrier breeders who help with Staffordshire Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmwood Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
