My story

Pearl and Buddy were adopted as youngsters to the a convent of nuns in Los Angeles. The convent is now shutting its doors and Pearl and Buddy must find a foster home and adopters. This lovely pair is very bonded and must be fostered or adopted together. Pearl is about 8 years old and Buddy is about 7 years old. Both are great with people. There is an urgent need for Pearl and Buddy to get out of the convent, which has already been sold as soon as possible. The doggies do not do well with small critters, small dogs, or cats. Fostering is free and all supplies are given by HTFF. Adoption is a wonderful thing and we are setting a discounted adoption donation for the pair of $150.

Why adoption is a great option

Buddy and Pearl, a Sherman Oaks Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Sherman Oaks, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Sherman Oaks.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sherman Oaks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sherman Oaks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sherman Oaks paves the way for another one to be saved.
