EHS was Thor's last chance. He came to us after being surrendered to a shelter in Quebec where his days were numbered. He has been relaxing and enjoying his foster home as we get to know more about him. He is an active, high energy boy who loves to go on hikes and runs and to play with his toys and interactive games. Most likely because of all the change he has been through he does suffer some separation anxiety and he is nervous of strangers. So he needs a structured environment and to be introduced slowly and at his own pace- he will give a warning when he's uncomfortable.
Thor is approximately 2 year old and is a large mix breed dog weighing 55-60lbs. He is neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on his vaccinations.
His specific adoption criteria include: · A home with a large yard in the country or a quiet suburban neighbourhood · No children or other animals in the home · Someone who is home more than not and doesn't have many visitors · An active, experienced dog owner who can provide a structured routine with both physical and mental stimulation · Willing to work with a behavioural trainer to learn dog body language and training techniques, if necessary
If you're interested in adopting Thor please fill in our online adoption application.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to meet him once pre-approved for adoption.
If you have any questions about Thor or the adoption process please contact his adoption coordinator at: aee.ehs@gmail.com
