My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Very sweet boy who loves to play and lay on his back. He also has skin allergies that is treated with immunotherapy

Meet Mr. Odell! Although he takes a while to adjust to new places, once he's comfortable, Odell is the sweetest, full-time lap kitty that ever lived! Extremely friendly to humans, Odell loves nothing more than to curl up on your lap or roll over for a belly rub. He's also ready for head scratches and a good nap in a sunny spot. He'll follow you around to make sure you're never alone, but he does not care for being carried. He's very good about using his scratch post and litter box, and can be easily persuaded to play with a ball or mouse. Although he prefers to live as a independent cat, it's possible he could get along with a submissive or younger cat (and if introduced properly).

About Odell's Medical Issues

Odell came to us from another rescue who saved him from off the street and treated him for horrible skin infections that left him in pain and crying for help. It was discovered during treatment that Mr. Odell is a special boy with severe allergies that causes him a great deal of discomfort and anxiety, ultimately leaving him in sores all over his body. Odell is finally at a place where his allergies are managed through immunotherapy. He needs a special family who will love him for his differences and stay dedicated to his immunotherapy treatment which consists of injections, a special diet, and applying medication to his sores if they occur. We are seeing an overall improvement in his skin since we started treating his allergies, so you would only need to treat his skin issues as/if they occur. Food allergies are possible, so he also eats Purina Vet Diet.

While Odell needs a special family, don't let his medical issues scare you! They are completely manageable and he is a normal, amazingly sweet and healthy kitty otherwise.
