Here's what the humans have to say about me:
* Belinda is in New England and available for a meet and greet! *
Belinda is about 2 years old and 30 lbs. She was a stray in Texas. Belinda is a sweetheart. She would greatly benefit from some training. Belinda can be protective of her home and people but she responds well to a confident, patient foster or adopter who will work with her on accepting new people into her home. Initially she is skittish and a little scared but she just needs a little extra time to warm up to new people, dogs and situations.
She was the mama to our Riverdale Litter. She plays with her toys and was a good mama to her puppies until they were adopted. Belinda gets along with other dogs. She is house trained and she sleeps in her crate. She will bark and cry if she needs to go out or if she's bored and she wants to play.
Belinda's foster describes her as Playful, Couch potato, Affectionate, Shy, Shy with visitors, Jumps up in play.
She understands stay, come, wait. Belinda is okay with being alone but if she knows there are people in the house and you have her in her crate, she will cry. She likes to be with her people. She's a smart girl that would love to find her forever home!
If you are interested in Belinda, please fill out the application and we will be in touch!
Please note: We are unable to adopt to MA or RI residents at this time
Please submit an application instead of sending an inquiry even if you just have questions. Sending an inquiry will slow down the process, limit the ways that we can contact you and may send our reply email to your spam folder. Another application could be processed instead of yours for this dog.
All of our available adoptable dogs are on Facebook, Petfinder, Adopt a Pet and our website. If a dog is no longer listed it means they have an adoption pending.
We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue and veterinary care of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes. The transport fee is an additional $225.
We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
Ready to Adopt? The next step is to fill out our Adoption Application. A volunteer will contact you to review your application and see if your family might be the right match.
