My name is Syrah!

I'm Syrah, I've been at AFO for a while. I came here as a kitten and was super scared. I've pretty relaxed here but I still don't like people touching me. I like to play and run around and hang out with my BFF, Neve and the other cats at AFO. People are ok but they still make me very nervous. My perfect adopter is someone who knows that I may never be a lap cat and that just is ok with me being at their house, giving me a warm place to sleep, some nice cat friends and food. I don't hide once I adjust but you would have to love me from a distance. I think that over time I would ok and maybe I will sit on the couch with you or lay in bed but if I don't I hope my new family is ok with that because they know that every cat needs to have a happily ever after in a home of their own.

*Kittens do best when they have a friend. We strongly recommend adopting in pairs if adopting a kitten.

*While we do not require kittens to be adopted in pairs, we do prioritize applications looking to adopt 2 or with another young cat at home.

Before going home all of our cats/kittens have been:

*Spayed/neutered

*Received age appropriate vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper)

*Microchipped

*Flea/Tick/Heartworm Preventative

*FeLV/FIV tested

*Dewormed
