My story

Missy & Sassy, “A Shy But Sweet Twosome”

Missy & Sassy came to us from a family West of Marshall, MO. They are sisters. Their mother was a feral which the family in Marshall who found them tried to socialize. They are a bit timid and did not respond to socializing quickly. They just didn’t like to be picked up. When the President of Animal F.A.I.R., Nancy Curtiss heard about the Family thru our Vet Jane Waller in Marshall she went and got them right away. The twosome came to us in March of 2021.

They are both about a year old. Missy is a beautiful modeled, Torti kitty. Sassy is a purrfect brown tabby. They both have a warm, affectionate personality, however , they are a bit shy when they first meets you. They are fairly petite girls who may not get much bigger than they are today. They are about 6 pounds today. Their personalities are a wonderful mix of a mature cat with a bit of kitten mixed in. They are gentle and savor attention.
Both presently live with the President of Animal F.A.I.R. in SE Sedalia where they have made themselves quite comfortable. They live with several other younger foster kitties. They enjoy watching them play and rough house.

Missy and Sassy are in excellent health, have a very big appetite for dry and canned food, of course love cat treats of all kinds. They are both fully Vet’d, spayed, have received all their shots, been wormed and has an implanted identity tag. They are fully litter box trained. They need to be indoor only girls. They are not familiar with the perils of the outdoors.

Missy and or Sassy would be a wonderful addition to your family. Please call or email us to discuss the possibilities. If you would like to visit them please call and we can arrange that with you. As an adult kitties the adoption fee is $75.00 for either of them.

Should you wish to proceed with adopting either or both of them you can download a copy of our Adoption application at our Blog Page. Here is a link to that site.

Why adoption is a great option

Missy & Sassy 2 Sweet Sisters, a Sedalia Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Sedalia, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Sedalia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sedalia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sedalia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sedalia paves the way for another one to be saved.
