We are respectfully requesting your assistance in finding this handsome boy a new address.. Just arrived, we are taking a few days to get to know him before placing him up for adoption. JOSH is a 3 year old Anatolian Shepherd. PLEASE RESEARCH THE BREED BEFORE CONSIDERING.. NOT THE DOG FOR A SMALL HOUSE OR SMALL AREA!! He’s HUGE! Great guardian with kids – was very attached to owner’s daughter, great with poultry, and horses too – cats not recommended. JOSH was surrendered when he and his Dad dog could not come to terms. JOSH was severely attacked as a PUPPY by a neighbor’s German shepherd and for this reason, owner states no German shepherds. Owner states this breed is highly intelligent and with a good memory. Due to the severe attack, JOSH does limp on his back leg occasionally and typically stands on his toes on that leg at times but does run fine, only walking with a limp occasionally. Has been in the house but was generally kept outdoors near the livestock. Seems house trained here. JOSH is 3 years old and interested adopters are encouraged to call and leave a msg with your info. Would LOVE to find someone familiar with the breed - As a livestock guardian - farm life is preferred.
