Louis Vuitton came to us as a stray back in November. With his beautiful, button eyes, this 13 lbs. of snuggly goodness will steal your heart. While Louis V seems to like everyone (men and women), he does prefer a slow intro. Because of Louis smaller size, big and fast moving objects (like dogs, kids, and cars) can make him a bit nervous. If you are able to give him a little time to warm up, he will be your best friend. And being a bit of a velcro-dog, it won't be long before Louis will be following you everywhere.
Interested in doing agility? Louis is a young and moderately active dog, and we think agility is something he would excel in. Daily walks are his favorite. He is still learning about leash pressure, but he continues to improve with each outing. Even though he tolerates dogs of all sizes, Louis prefers the company of similarly-sized littles (under 30 lbs). Louis can be a bit bossy with other dogs, so he would do best in a home with a more submissive dog or as an only dog. He has been tested with cats and was a perfect gentleman. Louis truly loves spending time with people and dogs that he knows well. He prefers controlled experiences, so an environment like a dog park will be too overstimulating for him.
Louis is well-mannered and allows most handling. Rescue dogs often come with little quirks, and Louis is no different. He does a lot of communicating with his mouth and likes to play (and mouth) at hands. This is NOT aggressive behavior on Louis' part, but it can be a little off-putting for some. Luckily, Louis takes a "No!" correction very well and will immediately stop. Louis is a one-year old pup who is looking for a committed home that can continue to provide him with structure and training. Have you been looking for a fun dog to shape and grow? Then, Louis could very well be your man!
