This handsome boy is Sandy. He's a petite guy at 40lbs and is ready for a home of his own! He was found abandoned in a pasture where he spent several days fending for himself. He truly deserves a fresh start at life! Our best guess is that he is a heeler/pittie mix... he has some heeler tendencies, so a home with children over the age of 13 (if any) as he thinks he needs to herd and guard things (he likes having a job!). He absolutely loves to play fetch, does well in the car and is just super cute! We'd love to see this boy in a home asap as he is growing tired of being in a shelter setting.

Sandy, a Fort Meade Blue Heeler/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Blue Heeler/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Fort Meade, or seeking a Blue Heeler/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Fort Meade.
Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Meade already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Meade breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Blue Heeler/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Blue Heeler/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Meade paves the way for another one to be saved.
