My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tucker is a very special boy looking for a family with experience with completely hearing impaired dog home. He is a mixed-breed, likely cattle dog/australian shepherd mixed somewhere in there.

Tucker came to us as his original family did not know how to work with a hearing impaired puppy, and the impairment wasn't recognized until he was nearly 4 months old. He is still in "puppy mode," and our foster has been starting to work with him on basic sign language and manners.

Tucker's best fit is a family that has had hearing impaired dogs before AND understands how to train them.

Tucker is sweet, friendly, loves to cuddle. He gets along absolutely great with other dogs - he will play til he drops. He is fairly decent with cats as well. He loves kids, though he doesn't always recognize his size and teenage gangliness can knock over a toddler, so a home with older children would be best for him.

His foster has been trying to work on leash training, kennel, and potty. He is a very active boy, so a family that will be active with him and have other dog(s) that he can run and play with is ideal.

Tucker is fully vetted: he is neutered, has had all of his vaccines and is microchipped. He is current on deworming, and flea/tick/heartworm prevention.

We will be looking for the right fit for Tucker. A physically fenced yard is a must - and a video chat may be requested to verify.

To be considered for Tucker's family, please complete the application - link follows.

Bert is about a 6 month old male cattle dog mix (we have no idea with what, but he sure looks good!). Hes a good 40 pounds now, so likely will be 50-70 when fully grown.

He is pretty much house trained (but new home always need some patience and time), crate trained, walks ok on a leash but could still use work with positive reinforcement, leash manners.

He loves to sleep in his kids' or foster-mom's bed and go on hikes. His recall is great for his age. He is very affectionate and eager to please. He loves kids and other animals, though he does enjoy chasing the cats just to see how the react, not to be mean to them.

Bert is neutered, vaccinated, has been kept up to date on flea/tick/heartworm prevention and deworming, He is also already microchipped.

His adoption fee is $250. A completed application is required - it can be found at:
