Mike and Mollie are about 6-7 years old and came to rescue after their family lost their home. Mollie is a scruffy terrier/chihuahua mix who weighs about 7 lbs. Mike is a handsome long haired chihuahua weighs about 11 lbs. These two are a bonded pair and a perfect match. Mollie likes to let everyone know she is the boss, and Mike is happy to let her be the boss. They are both wonderful with people and crave attention. Mike is good with other dogs but Mollie has a dominant streak and can be a bit pushy. For that reason, they should go to a home without other dogs. Mike is extremely interested in cats, so a home without cats is best. Both are fully vetted and have had dentals (most of Mike's teeth are gone). They are a bonded pair and will only be adopted together. They would love a family where someone is home a lot of the time and wants little dogs to snuggle with.

We require an application and a home visit prior to all of our adoptions. We do adopt out of state, and may have a representative from another rescue complete the home visit for us. Once the home visit is completed and approved, the dog is available for you to adopt! While this sounds like a lengthy process, it actually is often completed in a day or two. We have an adoption contract that is filled out at the time of adoption, along with adoption fee's collected at that time.
Our adoption fee's are
Under 1yr: $250
1yr to 9yrs: $200
10yrs and up: $150

We are a nonprofit, 501(C)(3), all volunteer, limited admission small dog rescue organization funded by private donations and adoption fees. We are a group of individuals who are dedicated to rescuing small breed dogs who have been abandoned, abused, neglected or left behind by their former owners. Our belief is that companion animals are living beings who are not merely "pets" but family members. We strive to find homes for them who share this view. We are committed to providing them with a temporary home where they receive veterinary care, including spay or neuter, socialization, exercise, love and good nutrition until their forever home can be found. We do not discriminate against small dogs based on breed or physical disability.
Mini Mighty Mutts is a limited admissions rescue. We can only take in as many animals as our foster homes can safely and responsibly care for. We do not euthanize animals to make room for more. We simply stop taking in new animals until we have room. Each homeless dog will remain in our care until he or she finds a new home.
