Opal, estimated to be about 1 year old, is a beautiful lynx point Siamese cat who is constantly wanting to play and be around her people. She was found on the streets as pregnant young cat asking for help. She loves chasing feathers, balls, and string toys and following her humans around in search of attention. She has a strong purr and enjoys being petted. Opal was a mom cat for much of her time with humans, so her personality will continue to develop as she adjusts to her new life as an indoor cat who is hardly any older than a kitten herself. She was an amazing mom to her young kittens when they lived inside, and she is curious and friendly when other cats come inside the house. Opal would be able to get along with older respectful children but would probably avoid younger children, as she is still cautious around people and prefers a gentler touch. Overall, Opal is a wonderful cat that is still figuring out her new life with people and being inside, but clearly has a lot of love to give.
Please see our website at https://ohlonehumanesociety.org/fostering-and-adoption/ and click on the ADOPTION APPLICATION button to submit your application, and let us know if you are looking for a particular kitten. We will let you know as soon as our Kitten Foster Program Manager reviews the applications received.
All of our kittens must be spayed or neutered in our care before adoption can be finalized. Due to the decreased availability of spay/neuter services, a kitten may be in our foster program for a longer period receiving shots and medical care before being placed with an adopter. Kittens require a $125 minimum adoption fee to help us fund our program.
We are looking forward to your application submission.
