My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cherry is a sweet, shy little lady who was rescued after surviving for many months alone on the streets of Norristown. She is an honorary member of our cat-only rescue due to the fact that we became aware of her after she started coming to one of our cat colonies for food, and we were determined to catch her and get her safely indoors so that we could find her a loving forever home. She is safe indoors, so that's step one of her path to happily ever after--now step two is finding an experienced foster or adopter to help her learn how to be the best dog she can be!

Cherry is submissive and cautious, without a mean bone in her body; she will thrive with an experienced pack leader who can build up her confidence and show her how wonderful humans can be. She is currently being boarded at a local vet and was evaluated by a dog trainer who said that she would do best in a quiet home with no young children. She seems to like other dogs, and she coexisted with cats when she was living in the park by herself, so she would likely do well with other pets in the home. Slow, careful intros to resident pets are, as always, a must, to set everyone up for success!

Cherry is not spayed yet, as the vet wanted to give her some time to settle down before doing that procedure, but she is up to date on her vaccines and is healthy. She is about thirty pounds, a cute muscular compact little lady, and you can see in her eyes that she wants to trust people even after what she has been through. Please contact us at catcrewinc@gmail.com if you would like to foster or adopt this sweet girl!
