My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rasputin had been living at the Seal Beach Jetty for about a year according to locals. Apparently, he was dumped there with his mom and a sibling when he was just a young boy bunny. He managed to survive with locals feeding him; his family was not as lucky and did not survive. But that's no place for a domestic rabbit to live!

As soon as it was reported to Kribs for Kritters, we went out at 6am to rescue him! He darted from the maintenance yard to the park to the parking lot but fortunately he did not scamper out to the jetty. We cornered him in the maintenance yard and brought him to safety.

He is a dashingly handsome lad and quite the poser for the camera. His piercing blue eyes are sure to melt your heart. He weighs 6-1/2 pounds.

He has turned into one FABULOUS bunny in a relatively short time here at the rescue! He LOVES to jump on the couch and sit in your lap for head rubs for. 30 minutes to an hour if you have the time! He will also wildly chatter his teeth in pure delight! Of course, he’s going to try to steal any human food he can or even try to drink your beverage!

He is a gentle soul and is intrigued when the other rabbits at the rescue bounce by his bunny bungalow. He is not aggressive at all. He sticks his nose through the bars to gently sniff the other bunnies. He may very well like a female friend!

He has a great appetite and loves his hay!

Rasputin needs to live indoors either: 1) free roaming, 2) in a room or a section of a room, or 3) in an x-pen enclosure or homemade DIY wire grid system. A cage/hutch is not recommended unless the door is open and an x-pen can be placed around it.

Please be over 21 if inquiring about a rabbit.

Rasputin can be seen by appointment in Lake Elsinore after a questionnaire is completed or a phone consultation conducted. Delivery is also available to the greater southern California area. Any additional donations to keep the rescue afloat are greatly appreciated.
