Luke is the sweetest little guy you’ll ever meet. He came to us from a terrible home. He was underweight, dehydrated, and had serious skin issues when he arrived. He’s now been vetted and is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm/lymes negative, flea treated, wormed, and microchipped. Luke is a wonderful, loving dog. He’s curious and loves to play. He seems to get along with other dogs but does need slow introductions. We don’t recommend a home with cats or small children. Luke will benefit from training. That is requirement of his adoption. Luke is an amazing dog and he will make a wonderful addition to a very lucky family.
**Applications will not be processed if they do not meet adoption requirements.**

Potential adopter(s) will meet the dog. At this time there will also be a meet and greet between any other pets included in the household.
Additional adoption info
Our adoption process consists of an initial application for the animal of interest, followed by reference checks (both personal and with a veterinarian), a home visit, and finally if approved an adoption contract. All animals are required to be inside companion pets and the owner must maintain veterinary care throughout the life of the animal.
Adoption fees are $150 for dogs, unless it is fostered through us for another rescue and $75 for cats.
All animals are up to date with vaccinations and spayed/neutered before adoption.

Arrangements can be made to visit with any of our pets, but because we are foster based and do not have one facility, appointments must be made to do so. To visit with a pet, please contact us at 814-421-7078 by phone or text.

More about this rescue
We are a small foster based rescue, not a shelter, comprised of multiple individuals that open their homes to stray, sick, and forgotten animals in need. We began the rescue in the Ligonier Area to focus on issues of stray, abandoned, and neglected animals. We often took in animals for the local police departments instead of having them sent to animal control. We have since expanded and try to cooperate with the public, other rescues, and other animal groups to assist any animal in need. Our primary focus area for intake though is still the Ligonier Valley. Adoptions can be made to any area as long as the adoption process is completed.
